In 2025, JSC "O'ZENERGOINJINIRING" developed the design for the construction of the "Lochin" 150 MW / 300 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in the Andijan Region of Uzbekistan.
The project is intended to enhance the stability, reliability, and operational flexibility of Uzbekistan's power system by balancing electricity demand, facilitating the integration of renewable energy sources, and strengthening overall grid performance. The implementation of advanced battery energy storage technology will support the country's transition toward a modern, resilient, and sustainable energy infrastructure.
